Veneers Brisbane QLD
Do you want to smile with bright, healthy looking teeth? Well now you can
At Excellence In Dentistry located in the Brisbane CBD, we offer porcelain veneers. This cosmetic dental treatment is designed to rejuvenate the appearance of teeth in the smile zone—the teeth visible when you smile.
If you are looking for a more minimally invasive treatment to improve the appearance of your smile, look no further than porcelain veneers. Dental veneers are thin, tooth-coloured porcelain shells carefully crafted to bond to and cover the front of unsightly teeth if the underlying tooth is strong and healthy.
When you visit Excellence in Dentistry, we will assess your oral health before commencing treatment. If you have any oral health issues such as gum disease, this will need to be treated prior to any cosmetic treatment being performed.
Brighten and rejuvenate your smile with Porcelain veneers
Porcelain veneers are one of the more popular cosmetic dental treatments. The porcelain can be colour matched the shade of your teeth so no one will notice you’ve had work done! Dental veneers can also effectively conceal teeth that are:
- Stained or discoloured
Porcelain veneers are stronger and more durable than composite resin. Dental veneers can last up to ten years and are stain resistant. They are also a conservative alternative to dental crowns. While crowns are an effective and efficient way to protect and strengthen a tooth, there are cases where a dental veneer will be more than sufficient.
Brisbane Dentist Dr Sally explains the advantage and disadvantages about porcelain veneers below
The process for dental veneers
In the past, porcelain veneer treatment would take two appointments. This would involve wearing temporary veneers and waiting a week for the more permanent veneers to be fabricated in a laboratory. Then you would come back to us, we would remove the temporaries and bond the permanent ones to your teeth.
Thanks to the CEREC machine, porcelain veneers can now be done in just one appointment. Using the CEREC machine scans are taken of the tooth structure and then one our skilled dentists will make digital veneers that will be milled in the CEREC machine. Prior to bonding the dental veneers to your teeth, some of the tooth structure (around 0.1mm) will be removed.
This is great for patients who want to improve and rejuvenate their smile in just one appointment.
