We’re volunteering our practice for the national dental foundation’s dental rescue day initiative, so we can help our community in the best way we can.
At Excellence in Dentistry, we have long maintained that no one is ‘just another mouth,’ a big part of who we are is based on the fact that we genuinely care about our patients. However, this need to provide the best dental care possible isn’t restricted to our practise walls.
We also truly care about our local Brisbane community, especially those who are unable to visit us.
Unfortunately, not everyone in Australia has access to appropriate dental care. In particular, lower socioeconomic families can be restricted from receiving this healthcare.
In light of this, Excellence in Dentistry is proud to announce that we will be participating in the National Dental Foundation’s Dental Rescue Day initiative. Simply put, we will be offering an entire day of free dental work to those in our community who are most in need.
By working with local charities, we will identify individuals who are in need of urgent attention and offer our exemplary skills to improve their health and make a difference. With our optimal care, these new patients will enjoy services such as fillings, extractions, standard check-ups, dental education, dentures and specialist treatment. All in one day! Through this, we hope that those who are less fortunate will be able to walk away with the oral health they need and deserve.
Through their initiatives, the National Dental Foundation have been able to work with dental practices Australia wide. To date, they have benefited over 5,000 patients in every state and territory. Our own Dr Sally Farhandi is no stranger to wonderful causes. Having worked extensively with UNICEF in improving the dental health of children and adults, Dr Fahrandi is excited to offer her expert hands to this profoundly terrific initiative.
