So what exactly is TMD?
TMD (Temporomandibular Disorder) is a common but serious condition in which the joint that connects the upper and lower jaws becomes misaligned, causing problems ranging from tooth grinding to jaw and neck pain, as well as migraines and headaches.
What are some of the TMJ disorder symptoms?
A TMJ disorder can cause a very wide range of symptoms, from mild to serious, including:
- Clicking, grinding and popping of the jaw
- Difficulty moving the jaw, including opening and closing the mouth
- Migraines, Headaches and neck aches
- Locking or soreness or other pain around the face and jaw
- Sensitivity in the teeth
- Worn down teeth
