IV SEDATION - Drift Away with "twilight" sedation
For most people the soothing environment and gentle expert care we provide is more than enough to make their dental experience a good one.
However, some patients feel they need another level of assistance, and therefore IV sedation may be appropriate.
This is not a general anaesthetic, as you will remain conscious and therefore avoid the risks that can occur with a general anaesthetic. You will be conscious but very peaceful and largely unaware of what is going on.
There will be three people in the surgery at all times; the dentist doing the sedation, another dentist working in your mouth and a dental assistant.
